[Call for Proposals for Technical Assistance of B737/A320 (Middle Size Class) Landing Gear MRO for FAA Repair Station]
Deadlines for Submission – 14st October 2018
1. Scope
EMKOREA (EMK hereafter) have plan to be repair station (also called AMO) approved by MOLIT and FAA in approximately 5 years. (Jun 2018 to Dec 2022). MOLIT (Government of South Korea) chosen EMK as the AMO for LANDING GEAR of Middle size commercial Aircraft such as B737, A320 in SOUTH KOREA. MOLIT will provide necessary financial assistance to EMK to become FAA AMO.
To achieve the FAA AMO, EMK is looking forward for the collaboration with Landing gear manufacturers (OEM) and authorized maintenance Organizations to understand and develop the product specific technical and maintenance capabilities.
The response to the RFP should contain the details about the Training, quality and technical capabilities required to become EMK a FAA Authorized Maintenance Organization for the Landing gear.

4.1. Documents
4.1.1. Supplier shall provide the necessary CMM (Components maintenance manual) for B737, and A320.
- Provide detailed cost breakdown structure for applicable CMM, component and assemblies
4.1.2. Supplier shall provide all types of template (sample) and SOPMs of Landing gear MRO for B737 and A320.
- Provide detailed cost breakdown structure for applicable each template with SOPM Number.
4.1.3. Supplier shall provide all kinds of template (sample) documents needed for FAA APPROVAL.
- Indicate the document number and associated cost.
4.2. Audit (Survey) and Training
4.2.1. Supplier shall provide the Quality System and technical training for EMK based on the level to be approved by FAA.
- Indicate estimated Audit duration in the proposal.
4.2.2. Supplier shall provide the Training for FAA approval, regarding Quality system and Technical issues at the Supplier’s site.
- Indicate estimated Training duration in the proposal
4.2.3. Supplier shall provide rectification for all document prepared by EMK
- Indicate estimated Rectification duration in the proposal.
4.2.4. Supplier shall provide Training for the way of handling of components which are not part of CMM.
- Indicate estimated Training duration in the Proposal
4.3. L/G to be overhauled by EMK
4.3.1. B737 L/G to be overhauled by EMK
- Provide NLG 1SET and MLG 1SET, EMK would like to know whether the wheel and brake is included or not. EMK will overhaul these LANDING GEARS under supplier’s technical support.
4.3.2. A320 L/G to be overhauled by EMK
- Provide NLG 1SET and MLG 1SET, EMK would like to know the wheel and brake is included or not.
Above parts shall be delivered directly into EMK (All transportation cost and accessorial cost shall be included in the proposal)
Provide the cost break down for each (B737 and A320) and detail items.
4.4. Tools and Equipments
4.4.1. Supplier shall provide the tools and equipments or purchase informations which are used for L/G repair as mentioned CMM.
- Provide detailed list of tools and equipments and cost breakdown structure for applicable CMM.
4.4.2. Supplier shall provide the Technical Assistance and Approval for check whether Test equipments which are manufactured by EMK for L/G acceptance test is equivalent substitutes or not.
5. Others
The supplier who has intention to respond to this proposal shall send an E-MAIL within 1 week after receiving this proposal.
- The Proposal should be handed in until 14th of October 2018.
- The cost should be broken down in-detail.
